My dear friend Heather, after listening to a tender store about Lewis IV, my son, commented on his giving nature by saying: “That kid is nothing but bones and heart.”
And there it was…the name of my blog…..
I knew Lewis would be a great source of my writing when he was age 3 (funny enough this happens to be Heather’s favorite story) and I heard cracking noises coming from another room in the house.
I walked into the kitchen to find my darling child in front of an open refrigerator door, an egg in one hand and three cracked eggs on the floor. I asked him what in the world he was doing and he looked at me, with innocence exuding from every pore, and said,”Looking for the dinosaurs.”

I also want to add these stories are entirely true!! I put on my humorous spin when telling the tale, but Lewis’ words are verbatim. Those of you who know him know what I say to be true.
Okay, I made the mistake of starting to read these with 15 minutes left to get to the gym. I knew I loved your heart, but now have concrete evidence of why I do. You see and feel everything deeply and are so authentic. Funny funny funny too. I will be FULLY subscribed to Bones and Heart, and love that you are taking the time to capture these moments. Your son will cherish these forever. Can’t wait to read the rest. Count on me for your book signing
xoxo
Lewis.. always believing “something”, perhaps a little friend, must be living in those eggs.. dropped at least one on my living room floor.. So tall.. even in diapers He could heist them off my counter whilst I was cooking!
Aaagh.. that photo! Most unflattering of our extraordinarily strong and handsome son..?
