Go Cards!

With two weeks to go till opening day, I thought I’d share a baseball story.

When Lewis was four, we went to a ballgame together (this was BNS – Before New Stadium).  We only stayed for about three innings as both of our attention spans wandered, however while we were there I did have him watch the game and we talked about the different teams, the positions, homeruns, etc.  Lewis decided he wanted to be a baseball player when he grew up.

I pointed to all of the players on the field and reminded him that someone stands at first base and second and third, and there is a pitcher and a catcher, etc.  I asked him which position he thought he would like to play when he was a pro-baseballer.  Lewis said, “I want to be the batter.”

Since then Lewey has retained zero interest in baseball (minus the Cards winning the World Series – that blog is on here somewhere). However for a brief moment, I thought I’d given birth the the next Pujols (expect he only wanted to bat of course – not sure how that was gonna work out for him).

Go Cards!
